Elysium Calling: What's been said...

In my opinion, this music is uncommonly sincere and surprisingly spiritual; in this music the past meets present.

I just bought Elysium Calling and I just love it! Kenneth Hooper and Garth D. Brooks did a wonderful job and their CD is now one of my top two favorites, right alongside Mary Youngblood's "Beneath the Raven Moon."

Got your CD at the Farmer's Market and have found it's exactly right as background music while writing. Also good while eating dinner, upon awakening in the morning, and innumerable times in between. Haven't worn it out yet, but am predicting I could. It's really great!

This CD ROCKS! I cannot tell you how wonderful this CD made me feel. It is a very happy, heart warming CD and I cannot get enough of it. My husband walked in as it was playing and got so caught up in it, he couldn't leave the room to greet our guests gathered out back until three songs had played.

Thank you for the blessing of your music! I have played it often since purchasing it and have even played it in a medical setting where the patients and staff really enjoyed it. When I play this music, it makes my heart happy!

Wow!!! Shapeshifter is incredible!!! We played it for our Mother's Day Brunch, and it set the perfect mood. I think my favorite song is "Elysium Calling," but I will see what songs grow on me after listening a few more times. Blending the ethnic flute sound with the progressive jazzy guitar not only seems like a perfect compliment, but I don't think I've ever heard it done before.
Kenneth and Garth are outstanding! They have brought a new style and a very refreshing sound to all...Kenneth can make the flutes sing. I encourage everyone to get a copy of "Shapeshifter" for it was masterfully done. I am sure we will be hearing more from these guys!
Wow! I was blown away on the first cut. I was mesmerized by the nice interplay between the flute and the guitar. Hmmmm, could this duo keep it up? Well, I am happy to say that Kenneth Hooper and Garth D. Brooks, now known as Elysium Calling, made a believer out of me. Kenneth plays such a happy flute and Garth provides such a nice platform from which Kenneth can take off on that this CD (Shapeshifter) will be on my regular play list.

The wonderful sounds of Elysium Calling really come from a close symbiotic relationship between both players, as they compose and present songs for the flute. From the first track to the last, the listener will find this new release interesting, varied, lyrical, soothing, and melodic. The songs are well written and well presented. The flute is never over powered, yet without the underlying support of the guitar, the songs would lose much of their appeal. This is the finest debut CD I have had the pleasure to hear in a while.

I received my copy in the mail today and it's awesome! I sat straight down and listened and couldn't believe the guys put out ANOTHER easy, refreshing, light spirited, uplifting CD. What a great job!
